Polarity Therapy
Polarity Therapy is a holistic health care system that balances life energy in
the body. Based on energetic principles rooted in Ayurveda, Polarity Therapy
includes bodywork, cleansing and health building diets, simple exercises, and
focused conversation that supports change in attitude and emotional patterns.
Polarity therapy may stand alone or be incorporated with other healing
modalities. With presence and intention, the practitioner creates and facilitates
an environment where dis-ease in the body, mind and soul can re-harmonize.
Reiki Energy Work
Reiki is a form of energy work in which healing energy is channeled through the
hands of a practitioner into the client's body to restore a normal energy balance
and health. Reiki is a universal science of energy characterized by principals of
endurance and stability that are sustaining and expansive in nature. Though
the ancient origins of Reiki are still unknown, references can be found in the
Sanskrit Sutras describing the types of healing that the Buddha performed
indicating that Reiki was practiced at least 2500 years ago. Mikao Usui
rediscovered Reiki in the 1890’s through study, meditation, and pilgrimage.
Integrated Awareness®
Lansing B. Gresham, founder of Integrated Awareness, says:
“Integrated Awareness describes an inherently possible but usually inhibited
state of consciousness in which all the aspects of the person are self-aware and
actively cooperate. It refers to a quality of living in which the mind does not
have precedence over the body, in which spirit is as tangible as skeleton, where
emotions are recognized as the source of creativity and in which the energetic
fields of the human body and the soul are as immediate and as tactile as the
skin.”
Integrated Awareness is offered in two formats: Floorwork and hands-on
individual instruction. In floorwork—usually conducted in a workshop or class
setting where participants work individually, in pairs, or even groups using
movement, touch, and the expanded perception of the bodies’ physical structure
to explore habits and behaviors, beliefs and judgments, and feelings and
sensations. In hands-on sessions, instruction through touch—in which one or
more facilitators work with a guest who personally sets an agenda for
change—the facilitator(s) use the ability to model, reflect, and transmit specific
states and perceptions that enable the guest to identify and utilize the
awareness needed for healing.
